PjMan help

PjMan is a web platform for managing projects, designed for the project manager (PM) and the people who work with them. It suits any type of project (implementations, software development, data analysis, engineering…): the type is resolved through phase templates. This help explains every screen and every operation, what each field means, what effect it has and who can do it.

How to find what you are looking for

  • By group: the list above follows the natural order of use, from basic to advanced.
  • From the screen you are on: the “?” icon (see below) opens the page that explains that screen.
  • Within a page: each one is divided into titled sections; you can also use your browser's search (Ctrl+F / ⌘+F).
  • A specific problem: the Frequently asked questions.

The “?” icon

On the management screens there is a ? icon that opens this help directly on the page for that screen. The command palette, the assistant panel and the card in the modal have their own icon, which leads to the page that explains each one (Command palette and shortcuts, The assistant panel and screen context, The card in the modal). Some screens have several sections and the icon takes you to the one you are looking at.

The role labels

Under the title of each operation you will see labels that indicate who can do it, followed by a sentence that qualifies it:

Label Who
PM Project manager (PM account role)
PM who owns the project The PM who runs that particular project
Level 1-2 Team member with a team role at Director, PM or Team Leader level: sees the whole project, normally read-only
Consultant/Developer Account with that role: only sees their assigned tasks and issues
Organisation member “Entire organisation” member (for example, CEO)
Everyone All roles with an account

If a label does not include your role, that operation is not available to you: it is not a fault. The details of each role are in Roles and access.

If something is not here

If you cannot find something, or the application's behaviour does not match what the help says, tell us from your account menu with Report a suggestion (to ask for something to be explained or improved) or Report a bug (to flag a fault). See Suggestions and bugs.
